Venezuela's Army Has Not Received Order To Shut Border

Venezuelan Defense Minister Gen. Gustavo Rangel said Wednesday that the military hasn't received orders from President Hugo Chavez to shut the border with Colombia amid a diplomatic conflict in the region. 'That order hasn't been given and therefore isn't being followed,' Rangel said during a televised press conference on Wednesday. The defense minister also said, however, that since there were more troops on the border, the military has increased its searches of incoming vehicles from Colombia.

  1. The whole point of the yanquis using the colombian shitheads to try and destabilize Venezuela is that it is impossible to close this border. If it's not the mountains, it's the jungles; or the rivers -- or the savannah... That is simply one, big porous border there: a military nightmare to defend -- and a natural theater of war.

However, this sword has two edges -- and all the weaknesses of the border also apply to Colombian side. Caveat imperatorae.
