Quito, Mar 22 (Prensa Latina) The Latin American Human Rights Association (ALDHU) accused the Colombian government of killing an Ecuadorian citizen and falsely presenting him as a guerrilla fighter from that country.
During the Colombian army's attack on a guerrilla camp on Ecuadorian territory, 25 people, including four Mexicans, an Ecuadorian and FARC spokesman Raul Reyes, were killed, ALDHU President Juan de Dios Parra said. He pointed out that the Colombian soldiers took the bodies of Reyes and Ecuadorian citizen Guillermo Aisalia, who was mistaken for Julian Conrado, a leader of the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC).
Colombian authorities identified and exhibited Aisalia's body as if he were Conrado, thus falsifying his identity, Parra pointed out, according to the website Ecuadorinmediato.com.
Assassinating an Ecuadorian civilian and stealing his body to exhibit him deliberately as a guerrilla commander is a new tall story in the misinformation campaign that Colombian authorities are carrying out, Parra warned. It was a way to legitimize the invasion and armed attack on Ecuadorian territory, he added.
According to Parra, this action by the Colombian army, with consent from its government, is a new element that aggravates the atrocious crimes committed by Bogota during the armed operation in Ecuador.
Parra pointed out that Aisalia's identity was confirmed by INTERPOL and the parents of the murdered man.

Have Hugo Chávez and the bolivarian government apologized yet to the families of all the anti-oligarchic colombians murdered by Urbe's deathsquad government, while and since he's been 'playing statesman' with the sociopath president of Colombia on the world stage, and this murderer has been using that as cover for his mayhem back home?
ReplyDeleteAnd another thing: what sort of 'relationship' should socialist organizations be having with bourgeois institutions like the police organ INTERPOL -- which clearly has the agenda of its imperialist masters at heart..?
