In addition, Venezuela is working best than ever”, he underscored. In this sense, he ratified that there is a real employment and dignity conditions of work recovery.
Furthermore, he stated that in 1999, when started the current Government, the employment started to increase, “however, due to the irresponsible action of some opposition sectors, it decreased between 2002 and 2003, after the coup d'etat and the oil sabotage, then in 2004 we retook again the path of recovery and we have up to now a real, systematic, and structural recovery”.
Rivero insisted that the unemployment rates are decreasing gradually. He explained that the unemployment upturn in January was lower to the one registered on January 2007; anyhow, he stated that this phenomenon always appears at the beginning of the year.
“The important thing is to manage the information that unemployment curve is dropping, it has a tendency to low and it is going to stay like this because all the forecasts point that the country is going to grow again this year, even over previous estimations, due to the rise in the oil prices and a Government that manages those resources in a planned way directly for national economy”, he emphasized.
Regarding the work force in certain sectors like construction, agricultural production, and food, Rivero pointed out that National Government is carrying out big efforts to generate enough work force for those areas. He stressed that some measures are being taken in order to generate human resources through training plans to cover the needs of the sectors mentioned above, most of all in the food area.
“We have a huge informal work force potential, which can allow us to cover any kind of deficit and, if it is well oriented, it could help us a lot”, he said.
