Bolivian president Evo Morales Accuses Us Of 'Conspiracy'

Evo Morales, the Bolivian president, has accused the US ambassador of leading a conspiracy against his government and the US main aid organisation of carrying out a 'dirty campaign' against him. In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera the Bolivian leader also said he had suffered from racism, even since his election as president. 'The conspiracy against my government is headed by the US ambassador,' Morales said, referring to Philip Goldberg.

  1. It was a mistake for the revolutionary bolivian masses to allow themselves to be misdirected and redirected and channeled back into bourgeois electoral politics, behind this rather reformist MAS leader. Still, this is what they have chosen. For now, anyway: since there was precious little good leadership coming from the 'traditional' Left at this crucial juncture in Bolivian history. And after all these years of mass struggle too. Hmm.

So: when is the bolivian government going to declare "ambassador" Philip Goldberg Persona non grata? Give that bum the rush right now. Send a message. Let the U.S. send a gorilla: it's just what Bolivia needs right now, AFAIC.
