Slain FARC leader Raul Reyes had planned to meet French President Sarkozy when he was killed by the Colombian Army!
Colombia's largest leftist insurgency group has said their slain leader Raul Reyes was planning to meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy over hostage release at the time he was killed by the Colombian Army. Reyes, whose real name was Luis Edgar Devia Silva, was killed in an attack on a rebel camp in the jungle across the Colombia-Ecuador border Saturday. His death sparked tension between the two countries. The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) said in a statement that Reyes was planning to meet French President Sarkozy to discuss the release of former presidential candidate of Colombia Ingrid Betancourt.

It will be a huge failure of those fighting against the world-wide imperialist media monopoly, if the fact does not get out that the recent series of "successes" these narco-murderers in Bogotá have enjoyed, have actually come about precisely because the U.S.-backed colombian oligarchy have subverted and taken advantage of the colombian peace process for their own petty, gangster ends.
ReplyDeleteAnd in the manner of all petty fascists, they even gloat about how smart they've been to "fool" everyone. Is that not proof of the idiocy of the Right, even in its oafish criminality?
