VHeadline commentarist Kenneth T. Tellis writes: I just wonder when this lunatic in the White House will stop his ranting against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias?
Who exactly is praising the terrorists if not Bush himself, by supporting Alvaro Uribe Velez, the pseudo-President of Colombia?
To George W. Bush, anything that he does not approve automatically becomes a terrorist act, perhaps being under the influence does not help his judgment of issues at all. But when George W. Bush goes as far as accuse Chavez of squandering his country's oil wealth to fuel a campaign against the U.S. he has got it all wrong.
It is U.S. President George W. Bush who has squandered his country's wealth in fighting two illegal wars, one in Afghanistan and the other in Iraq.
Of course, Iraq was only a means to an end. To put succinctly it was get rich quick scheme, based on a false premise that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction, all this was only in the mind of a mental midget, who had no idea what he was getting his country into.
- Has Bush never quoted the American rebel or terrorist George Washington at any time?
Well then Chavez has that same right to be friendly with Colombian rebels ... giving support to a gang of drug dealers and thugs under Alvaro Uribe Velez is not helping democracy but undermining it.
Yes, the region is facing stark choices, but they are in the form of U.S. Special Forces, CIA and agents provocateurs, all operating under the auspices of the Bush regime in Washington. This is a stark contrast with any support of Latin American leaders that want to be left alone and not interfered with by the U.S. government or controlled by U.S. Corporations.
The Terrorist and demagogues are the Americans whose only aim and reason for being in Latin America is to dominate it, and for no other useful purpose.
There are no food shortages in Venezuela unless it is the ones created by the U.S. propaganda machine. But that is par for the course, because it is standard U.S. government policy to use its news media to create false propaganda, and it is nowhere near the truth of the food situation in Venezuela at all.
There is enough food in supermarkets for all to see, and there is no shortage.
So please Mr. George W. Bush go back to the drawing board and plan some other incredible story, because right now the world has seen through your charade.
