Kenneth T. Tellis: Why question Chavez' sanity?

VHeadline commentarist Kenneth T. Tellis writes: I find it rather odd that the lawyers for the Democratic Action opposition and the newspaper El Neuvo Herald should doubt Hugo Rafael Chavez Frias' sanity, yet not even mention the man for whom they work, one George W. Bush?

Chavez has not become an EVIL MONSTER like George W. Bush who has killed 1.5 million Iraqi men women and children just for the fun of it, has he?

So, what the lawyers for the Democratic Action opposition and the El Nuevo Herald should really be doing is asking that U.S. President George W. Bush whom they work for be given a psychiatric test and evaluate his sanity, before requesting that people in Venezuela sign a petition to check Chavez' sanity.

Let's be honest if Chavez wants the body of Simon Bolivar exhumed for a test to find out exactly how he died, there is nothing insane in that quest. After all, archaeologists also had a lot of tests done on the mummy of King TUT of Egypt, to find out how he died, and no one thought that they were insane, did they?

It is asinine to even think up an issue of the exhumation of the body of Simon Bolivar, being untouchable, because it might turn out that Chavez has been right all along.

Do the pseudo-Venezuelans who are in the pay of the U.S. government have nothing better to do, than waste valuable time, that they could use in helping Chavez fulfill the dreams of Venezuela's forgotten poor?

• Or do these hirelings of U.S. imperialism want the good life only for themselves?

The Venezuelan opposition should find ways and means to make Venezuela a better place for all Venezuelans irrespective of their station in life and not just themselves.

So, you the opposition in Venezuela, should use your time constructively and help the down-trodden Venezuelans obtain much better standard of living.

Serve your country, not a foreign power ... don't wait, because tomorrow never comes!
