Kenneth T. Tellis: United States Censorship and devious Propaganda

VHeadline commentarist Kenneth T. Tellis writes: Today, I think of how the news media run by the U.S. and its allies operates worldwide. Remember that most of the newspapers have a comments or letters section, and some do not ask that you log in, but others do because they will then collect data and still censor your opinion or letter.

But here is the catch.

If you want to make a statement regarding the news, you have to log in, and that means giving out some information about yourself. Couldn't that information be passed on to the authorities? Certainly!

But couldn't all that information be gathered by the U.S. Government and its agencies, to be used against you at some later date?
  • Of course this also includes some Blog Sites, which collect data. Thus, you can be giving the enemy all the information that it requires through a newspaper or Blog Site.
I wonder if anyone thinks of these pit falls that can cause you endless trouble and indeed affect your life as a person?

Most of news emanating from the U.S. is usually pro-Bush and automatically condemns anything that Chavez says or does. So, from the very onset, you are not getting the news but propaganda doctored to suit the occasion.

If one sees the size of the corporate-owned news media, is it any wonder, that it seems that the Socialist are fighting an uphill battle against the forces of Capitalism?

In a truly democratic society all views are openly expressed, but that does not seem to be the case today, especially from the international news media that is usually owned by corporations.

So, whatever we get must be weighed as to where it comes from or whether it is slanted to suit a certain government's policies.

So, like it or not we are fed subtle propaganda by the so-called news media, which in effect is really a branch of some government body or other, and which changes the facts to suit a given situation.

That is not the idea of a FREE PRESS, but it is very similar to the policies of the NAZIS and the SOVIETS, not leaving out the U.S. government as well.

So, how do we change these policies?
