It has been a mistake for the FARC to stoop to the methods of the Rightwing and of the colombian government. But let's be clear on this: no one is more guilty of kidnapping, murder and trafficking of anything or anyone than the U.S.-backed narco-régime in Bogotá.
ReplyDeleteExcept the U.S. oligarchy itself, of course.
As for this sob-story here: I'm more concerned for the millions who have suffered at the hands of the colombian oligarchic bourgeoisie, than for this one bourgeois politica wasting away in the jungle. The concern being shown for her particular well-being speaks more of the power of the bourgeois mass-media to manipulate world opinion, than it does of the facts of the matter. Still, I hope the FARC rid themselves of this albatross around their necks -- and stick to overthrowing this U.S. proxy narco-terrorist régime the good old-fashioned way.
