Chavez: 'How far is President Uribe willing to go in his warlike madness?
President Hugo Chavez warned his Colombian counterpart Saturday that war would break out between the South American neighbours if Colombia's military crosses into Venezuelan territory. Chavez railed against Colombia's military for entering Ecuadorean territory on a Saturday raid that killed a senior commander of Colombia's largest rebel group, and he cautioned Colombian President Alvaro Uribe against similar actions along Venezuela's border. 'Don't think about doing that over here because it would very serious, it would be cause for war,' Chavez said. 'How far is President Uribe willing to go in his warlike madness?'

The question by Chavez: "How far is Presidnt Uribe willing to go in his warlike madness? Can be answered quite easily, if one considers that Colombian President Uribe takes his orders directly from the White House.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is sure and that is plans for the raid into Ecuador were made at the Pentagon by U.S. military experts. And do not be one bit surprised if U.S. Special Forces were included in the raid on Ecuadorian territory.
This, could actually be a ploy to drag Venezuela into a war with Colombia, in which U.S. forces, such as the Navy and Marines would be used against the Venezuelan Armed Forces. The U.S. could now be plotting the invasion of Venezuela itself. So, the Venezuelan Armed Forces and National Guard need to be ready for eventualities. This is gamble that Venezuelans should be ready to take, in defence of thier country.
