US takes Venezuela out of the blacklist of human trafficking
The US government released on Wednesday its blacklist of countries engaged in human trafficking; removed Venezuela, Malaysia and its Arabian partner Bahrain, but kept Cuba and its Middle East allies Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. Venezuela, Bahrain, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and Equatorial Guinea were taken out of the list and included in the section of monitored countries of the 'Report on Activities to Combat Human Trafficking' released annually by the US Department of State. The report delves into the efforts of more than 150 nations to fight human smuggle for forced works, prostitution, military service and other purposes, AFP quoted. Blacklisted countries face multiple sanctions, including discontinuance of the US aid not related to humanitarian or trade actions.
