Caracas Daily Journal (Jaandry M. Tovar H.): Calidadde vida.com.ve is a Venezuelan website that will become a forum of counseling and learning for doctors from Latin America and the Caribbean. It is a creation of Educacion Medica Contínua EMC C.A. (Continuous Medical Education) which is a company that is exclusively dedicated to the spreading of specialized scientific-medical information in Surgical techniques and clinical advances to help with the updating of professionals in this area.

So far, this is the only Spanish site worldwide that broadcasts high complexity surgeries by Venezuelan surgeons and that is based on a program of subscriptions for medicine specialists and students.

Also, this site can count on its own radio station -- which is also an innovation -- that will be on the air in a well-known caraquena FM station in the coming days.
At present, programs about autism, advanced homeopathic medicine, Parkinson's neurosurgery and a tutorial exam of menopause and osteoporosis can be listened to on this station.

The site will show real master class of advanced surgical techniques by Venezuelan specialists in public and private institutions in Venezuela. The pre-subscriptions and register process for doctors and students of medicine and health sciences of Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean are opened from now... Since they are master classes, the access to them is Pay Per View. The price is very reasonable: Bs.F.100 for students and Bs.F.150 for doctors. Once you have made the deposit in the bank, you have to report the payment at veronica@calidaddevida.com.ve and then you will be registered and a login and password will be assigned to you, which will allow you accede to the live show in which you, will have the opportunity of interacting with the doctor that performed the surgery.

The first surgery or the first fifty-minute master class will be done next MONDAY, JUNE 30 at 9:00 a.m. which will be a GASTRIC BYPASS IN Y ROUX BY LAPAROSCOPY, the latest and most effective technique developed to decrease and control the overweight in patients with morbid obesity. Professor Dr. Jose Isaac Poly together with the chief of the Chair of Surgical Therapy of the School of Medicine "Luis Razetti", Dr. Salvador Navarrete, are the surgeons in charge of this first program. The three-hour surgery will be held in the Hospital Clinico Universitario de Caracas (HUC) -- head office of the School of Medicice "Luis Razetti" of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), the biggest hospital in the country -- by the team of Surgery Service II.
