McCain does not pretend to be other than what he is ... he has stated in 2006 that we are fighting World War III

VHeadline's Washington DC-based commentarist Chris Herz writes: Obama ran in his primary campaign as liberal, as anti-war, and as anti-corporate globalism. But between his appointments of advisers and his public speeches since winning his party's nomination we can see emerging. a new "third-way" government -- like that of Blair in the UK or Clinton in the US. Such regimes have shown beyond doubt that they are merely fronts for the same corporate power that dominates the conservatives. At the end of the day, their government enacts the same policies that would have been enacted by the conservatives.

McCain, on the other hand does not pretend to be other than what he is. He has stated in 2006 that we are fighting World War III. He vows to stay in Iraq for 100 years (or until all the oil is pumped into Exxon-Mobil's tankers) should that be necessary. He even now says we need conscription, if we are in world war. Unlike Obama, he does not at once pretend that government has some purpose other than the care and feeding of big money, and then turn and rape his followers economically and socially.

One may disagree with Mr McCain's politics. And I do, vehemently. But one must offer him a grudging respect one cannot offer to Obama or any of the other major Democrats. These are pure and simple, heartless betrayers of their hapless followers. And these willfully ignorant people are themselves to blame for their own fleecing; a basic level of personal competence and a short visit to any public library in the Union being entirely sufficient to show anyone what a corrupt political operation it is that all of our major institutions have provided us.

Foreign observers should be aware that the wants and needs of the US population play no part in the choice of their leadership. These are only front-men for the corporate ownership of this nation. All essential policy is cast in stone and will not change between this current Bush regime and any possible successor.

We have seen the Democrats in the Congress vote for the fifth or sixth time, by an heavy majority, the war credits needful for the continuing holocaust in Iraq. Even agreeing yet once again to keep this expenditure off budget. These same creeps, worse by reason of their hypocrisy than the Republicans, have voted for the continuance of illicit governmental spying on their fellow citizens. And very shortly, within a few days, they will offer to the Bush government another resolution which can surely be twisted by these masters of twisting into authorization for the provocation of war with Iran.

Since the days of President Ronald Reagan, appointed in 1980, the whole society and economy of the USA has been reorganized for this coming war of the world, of the century. And those who fail to see this reality are the ones who are of the same ilk as Chamberlain and Daladier, the British and French leaders who thought they might somehow be able to compromise with the Hitlerite Facsism of their time.

We in this brave new Fascist USA are armed to the teeth: We buy weapons with our tax dollars, more than the rest of humanity put together. And we mean to use these weapons. On you.

From the imperial capital
