Italian Ambassador to Venezuela, Luigi Maccotta opens the Italian Festival 2008

Caracas Daily Journal (Virginia Casulo): The Italian Ambassador to Venezuela, Luigi Maccotta, recently held the opening of the Italian Festival 2008. Alfredo Giorgi, the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture (IIC), Massimo Gilardi, and the President of the Venezuelan-Italian Chamber of Commerce, Giorgio Trevisi are organizing this festival which will be held in Caracas until July 5. Like every year, the main visions are to share with Venezuelans the contributions of Italy in Venezuela in culture, education, science and commerce and the interchange between Italy and Venezuela. This edition has in addition the collaboration and special participation of the most important Italian companies and Italo-Venezuelan companies in Vene-zuela, such as Alitalia, Alnova, Astaldi, Pedeca Constructor, ENI, Fiat, Foster Wheeler, Ghella, Im-pregilo, Iveco, Parmalat, Pirelli, Trevi and Vinccler. During the Festival Venezuelans will be able to enjoy Music, dance, cinema, theater and gastronomy, movie and pasta festivals, as well as concerts, plays and fashion shows in the most emble-matic places in Caracas, such as the Teresa Carreño Theater, Tolon Fashion Mall and many beautiful locations.
