Venezuelan victim forgives newly-released drunk driver

A 29-year-old native of Venezuela said she holds no ill will against the man who caused her disfigurement in a fiery drunk driving collision. On Tuesday, Reginald Stephey was released from a Houston area prison after serving all 7 years of his sentence for intoxication manslaughter. On September 19, 1999, Stephey left a party and hit a car of 5 people head-on on FM 2222. Two people were killed instantly. Another, Jacqui Saburido, was burned over 60 percent of her body when the car caught fire. Saburido lost her hands, her ears, her nose and her independence. She's had more than 50 surgeries and has more to go. Still she finds it in her heart to forgive the man who changed her life forever. 'I don't hate him, I don't feel bad because he's out, he can reconstruct his life again,' said Saburido.
