Washington lacks moral authority to accuse other countries of terrorism

Caracas, Mar 16 (Prensa Latina) Washington lacks moral authority to accuse other countries of terrorism, as they pretend to do with Venezuela, the ambassador of Caracas before Organization of American States OAS Jorge Valero affirmed Sunday.

According to the diplomat, that position constitutes an unusual pretension of a Government that practices terrorism, that cultivates it and takes it until the end, blaming other countries in that matter.

In statements to PANORAMA daily, Valero recalled that the administration of George W. Bush practices State Terrorism and invades countries without respecting the international law, clearly violating international anti terrorism agreements.

If they wanted to fight against that flagellum, he added, they would give a response to the demand presented by Venezuela for the extradition of the convict and confessed terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, the convicted bomber of a Cuban airliner.

  • In that sense, they should accomplish the treaty of extradition signed among both countries.

If Washington pretended not to recognize the spirit of the Summit of Grupo de Rio in OAS, it would count on the almost unanimous rejection of Latin America, Venezuelan ambassador assured.

Our government will take to OAS Foreign Ministers meeting the statements insisting on the importance of solving the differences between the two countries by means of political dialogue, he said.
