VHeadline commentarist Oscar Heck writes: Sometimes I wonder what the western world, principally the USA, who is the largest consumer of oil in the world, using more than 20,000,000 barrels per day, will do as the price of oil increases even further. (In second place is China, using more than 6,000,000 barrels per day.)
Okay ... the USA invaded Iraq, which may help them ... but I am sure that as time passes, the Iraqi government will slowly take away US control over the oil and I am quite sure that sabotage of the oil installations in Iraq will be ongoing and increasing over time as long as the USA is involved.
Simply, this is a case of everyone (except a few) hating the USA for their obvious crimes against humanity and the increasing world animosity against the USA as a whole.
Personally, I would love to see the price of oil reach $1000 ... just to see the USA fall apart at the seams ... but that is another issue.
But back to the oil ... what else will they do?
As far as I know, the USA already has its corporate hands and CIA noses in countries surrounding other oil-rich areas around the world ... but is that enough, for a country that is filled with greed and ruthlessness? I doubt it. If the USA was willing to kill, maim and destroy the lives of millions of innocent Iraqis in order to get their hands on oil, they are certainly able to do more of the same. Without question.
What would the next least expensive step be? Venezuela, of course, and then Ecuador ... and this is precisely what appears to be happening.
The recent Colombian assault on sleeping Farc members on Ecuadorian soil killing 17, has, as far as I can determine, been perpetrated in order to subversively link Ecuador and Venezuela to the Farc, an organization labeled as "terrorists" by the US government, thus opening an avenue of argument which may make it "feasible" for the USA to invade Venezuela. That is how it all started with Iraq. Remember?
All of a sudden, "evidence" has been "found" accusing Chavez (Venezuela) and Correa (Ecuador) of having links to the FARC ... and all of a sudden, "evidence" has been "found" that the FARC are planning to build a "dirty bomb." Sound familiar?
Remember Saddam Hussein?
Uribe, Colombia's president has said that he wants to take Chavez to court on charges of supporting FARC genocide.
Why was Saddam Hussein hung? Remember? Genocide.
Nice recipe ... if it worked once, and if all we gullible people believed it all, then it must work again, right? Wrong!

May their god save the yanquis if they kill Hugo Chávez.
