OPEC set to snub Bush over oil output
OPEC is Wednesday set to leave oil output unchanged despite fresh calls by US President George W. Bush for an increase in supply to help bring down soaring energy prices. 'OPEC is now producing 32 million barrels a day. As a result, the market continues to be well supplied,' OPEC president, Algerian Oil Minister Chakib Khelil, said at the start of the ministerial meeting in Vienna. Ministers of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries met shortly after 10:00 am (0900 GMT) as Saudi Arabia, the cartel's most influential member, said there was no need to hike production.
