Oil prices surge past $104 a barrel; OPEC to maintain current production

OPEC said Wednesday it will not put more oil on the global market despite record-high prices for crude, blaming the U.S. for economic 'mismanagement' it said was having a worldwide effect. Oil prices surged past $104 a barrel for the first time after the OPEC announcement and the release of a government report showing a surprise drop in crude oil stockpiles. The U.S. dollar on Wednesday sunk to record lows, with the euro fetching $1.53 for the first time ever in Europe.

  1. Ya, the criminal incompetent in the White House lobs responsibility for his ruling class' economic recklessness into OPEC's court -- and OPEC lobs it right back -- hard -- where it belongs. No such doing, chump.

And it doesn't matter how many little yapping lapdogs these financiers and their paid-for political whores can buy to parrot the same party line: responsibility for the present mess lies squarely with the U.S. ruling class. Or as I call them: history.
