Kenneth T. Tellis: No amount of U.S. propaganda can change the feelings of the Venezuelan people!

VHeadline commentarist Kenneth T. Tellis writes: The essential lesson of Chavez is an eye-opener and the writer is to be commended for his firness and honesty to someone who is hated by the corporate structure of the U.S.

Keep up the good work of telling the story of Chavez as it really is, do not change a word.

The facts are clear, Hugo Rafael Chavez Fries is a man that came up from the barrio to lead his country to progress and prosperity, let there be no doubt about that. The downtrodden people of the barrios inVenezuela are making great strides towards self-sufficiency. They now have education, food, healthcare and housing that was never before a part of their dreary lives.
  • Chavez has brought common sense where greed existed before, and replace despair with hope. That is what makes Chavez popular among the poor of Venezuela.
No amount of U.S. propaganda can change the feelings of the Venezuelan people to someone who came to serve them, rather than rob them.

  1. Chávez may be leading -- but it is the people who must take power.

And right now they must take it from the bureaucracy.
