Brazil will back an investigative probe by the OAS and a reinforced apology from Colombia

Brazil will back an investigative probe by the Organization of American States and a reinforced apology from Colombia as steps to help resolve that nation's tensions with neighboring Ecuador over a weekend dispute, Brazilian Foreign Relations Minister Celso Amorim said Monday.

  1. The OAS is not an appropriate forum for anything. It is an imperialist stooge organization and should be disbanded.

Real socialists don't want "apologies" from imperialist murderers -- they want to defeat them. Only opportunists want to return to business as usual. And so one more time we see that Lula da Silva and crew are not really socialists at all; and in fact, Lula has recently said as much -- all pretenses now finally being dropped. It is not in the interests of socialists to want "apologies" and to move on. Socialists should hold a grudge against all imperialist wrongdoing -- and not meekly turn the other cheek.

  2. Brazil talks of an investigative probe by the OAS, are they joking. The OAS is an organization created by and controlled by the U.S.government. Under such circumstances can there be an honest investigation from this body?

So, in order to bring about justice for Latin America, the OAS must be dissolved and a new body founded that is not under U.S. control.
