Arrest warrant for ex-PDVSA oil chief
A prosecutor has requested an international arrest warrant for a former manager of Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA and his son. Diego Uzcategui Matheus, and his son, Daniel have been accused of smuggling a suitcase with $800,000 into Argentina last year through US-Venezuelan businessman Guido Antonini Wilson to fund the electoral campaign of Cristina Kirchner, who went on to win the presidential elections. Wilson flew in a privately chartered aircraft from Caracas, Venezuela, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where customs officers discovered $800,000 in cash in his possession. Matheus and his son are both at large and have failed to respond to four subpoenas.
