Vice-President of the Socialist United Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Alberto Müller Rojas confessed on Wednesday that the government sector is worried about a potential defeat during the local election next November 23rd. 'We are concerned, at this current time, about what happened during the constitutional referendum last December 2nd (2007), when a portion of our voters was demobilized,' the retired general said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. However, Müller Rojas is confident that the 'success' of the current administration will bear fruit in the ballot boxes. 'I am certain that the government action and its results are far more effective than any advertising to be made by us to sell any candidate.'
