Venezuela's Vice-President Ramón Carrizalez was empowered to appoint and remove vice-ministers, government officials of a similar or lower rank and top authorities of government agencies. Under the decree number 6,345, published last Thursday in the Official Gazette, the vice-president should account for his actions in this regard, reported state-run news agency ABN. Additionally, the vice-president will be responsible for any acts that may be delegated or commissioned by President Hugo Chávez.
