Two people were killed and at least 19 others injured on Sunday in a grenade explosion in Caracas, capital of Venezuela, local media reported. The blast occurred on Saturday morning at the "January 23" parish in west Caracas, where witnesses said that a young man threw a grenade from the eighth floor of a residential building. The grenade exploded near a group of elderly people gathering at the ground floor of the building, killing two and injuring 19 others. After the attack, the perpetrator, a 23-year-old young man, committed suicide by jumping out of the building. The police are investigating the case, trying to find out how the suicide obtained the grenade.
