Chavez prays that God will bring a speedy end to the North American empire headed by his arch-enemy George W. Bush

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez Frias says he's praying that God will bring a speedy end to the North American empire headed by his arch-enemy George W. Bush.

Chavez was commenting a declaration by Bush that he (Bush) has asked God to "usher in the day when the suffering of the Cubans will be ended!"

Speaking to graduating medical students, Chavez said "that statement warrants a big BUH ('abucheo' in Spanish)! If God is going to accelerate anything, it's going to be accelerating Mister Bush, it is the end of the North American empire ... he (God) will accelerate history and time. Thank God, the God of the people, of the oppressed, the exploited and the poor that by the grace of the dynamics of time, the people will wake up and the the North America empire will continue to crash."

"The presidency of Bush will end, a mandate that he has filled with terrorism, misery and hunger throughout the world, we will gather around the funeral pyre of the North American empire."

Meanwhile Chavez recognizes the risks to his own personal security and says that the United States is spying on Venezuela preparatory to an invasion to steal Venezuela's oil. "We are certain that they are spying on us," Chavez said, "First they said not, that it was an anti-narcotics operation. LIES! It's just the same as they say about the US Navy's Fourth Fleet supposedly engaged in anti-narcotics operations off our coast. It is a war fleet which poses a menace not only to Venezuela but against all of us Latin Americans."

President Chavez describes as "damnable lies and falsehoods" United States claims that that Venezuela is arming itself to the hilt ... "we are simply preparing for whatever aggression is foisted on us since the empire (USA) is being extremely provocatiove ... we are NOT disposed to fall into provocations, but neither will be allow violations of our sovereign airspace."

"We are making it clear to the North American empire and their lackeys ... and it's something that we will be taking with us for discussion at the UnaSur Summit in Brasilia because all we want is peace."

Venezuela is facing the most difficult period of its history with honest reporters crippled by sectarianism on top of rampant corruption within the administration and beyond, aided and abetted by criminal forces in the US and Spanish governments which cannot accept the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people to decide over their own future.
