The Venezuelan federation confirmed the list of players traveling to USA without Alejandro Cichero, who plays for Chinese Shandong Lumeng. The defender told the local media on Sunday his resignation to the team due to disagreements with some money owed. Midfielder Juan Arango, at Spain's Real Mallorca, and Atlante's Mexican player, Giancarlo Maldonado, stand out from the squad named by Cesar Farias. Spain’s Pontevedra Jonay Hernandez is included in the squad, though he will miss the tour but he will play the official clashes. These three matches will be a warm-up for the forthcoming South American Qualifiers for a place in South Africa 2010. Venezuela will face Uruguay, in Montevideo on June 14, and five days later, they face Chile in Puerto La Cruz.
