Venezuela's Chavez says US to blame for high oil prices, not OPEC

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez says the United States is responsible for record high oil prices, not the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. Chavez says that U.S. officials want to pin the blame for high prices on OPEC but the true culprit is America's seemingly insatiable thirst for fuel. Chavez said in a speech Wednesday that the U.S. government "wants to turn the world against OPEC."
