Cuban police experts are in Venezuela to design a training program for the country's National Police, officials said.
The delegation of Cuban police is led by the chief of the National Revolutionary Police of Cuba, Ramon Rodriguez Curbelo, and will remain in Venezuela for three months to conduct its training, El Nuevo Herald reported Thursday.
Cuba regularly sends teachers and doctors to Venezuela to provide education and healthcare in the country's poorest neighborhoods. In turn, Venezuela sends large quantities of sharply discounted oil to Cuba.
