Iran, Israel And Zach Wamp's Ideology - And Response

To fully understand this, one needs to remember the hyper-inflation of the early 1970s, right after the Federal Reserve took the dollar off the gold standard.
To counter-act these dire straits, the “petro-dollar” recycling system was formed…this system pinned our dollar to oil profits, giving it strength throughout the globe. The long-and-short of this arrangement was that rich oil sheiks were allowed to triple the price of oil (immediately) as long as they took their profits in U.S. dollars that were to be held in New York banks for terms of 10-20 and 30 years. Iraq threatened to stop using the petro dollar system in 2001 (to counter U.S.-led sanctions) and we invaded shortly thereafter. Now Ahmadinejad begins to mutter the very same thing about Iranian oil in 2006 and almost immediately the government and media swing into action, calling Iran everything from a “Rogue Nation” to a “Terror State”, as they posture into position for yet another attack. Earlier this year, the “Iranian SpeedBoat Incident” was whipped up for the masses to consume, though it appeared to be badly performed, maybe a Colin Powell speech would’ve helped to mold and form our thoughts, kind of like the “drum beating” he so masterfully orchestrated for the Iraq War. In case you’re wondering about why we’re programmed to hate Hugo Chavez (Venezuela) so much, it’s all about his threats to stop selling oil in dollars too.
