VHeadline Venezuela News reports: In today's (Tuesday) editions of El Correo del Caroni, it is revealed that a major clean-up is underway at the previous premises of USA-Idaho-based Hecla Mining in El Callao preparatory to a visit by President Hugo Chavez Frias on his return from a visit to Russia, Belarus, Spain and Portugal this coming weekend.
Mine workers at the Isidora gold mine in Block B of CVG-Minerven's jurisdiction, having been unemployed since Hecla abandoned the property more than a month ago, have been promised new jobs after an official inauguration ceremony on Sunday (July 28).
Although gold production remains paralyzed, some employees have already begun to clean up and carry out relevant repairs to the property. According to Correo del Caroni it was only after the intervention of the Labor Ministry (Minpptrass) Guasipati Inspectorate that agreements were established to incorporate former employees at Isidora and La Camorra which is now the subject of a 50/50 socialist mining partnership between the Russian Agapov group and Venezuela's newly-established National Mining Company.
The new deal brings to an end a series of labor tensions which led to a militarization of the Rusoro-Minerven facilities on Monday against fears of civilian disturbances as the unemployed clamored for jobs. In the event, some 200 were turned away from the gates empty-handed. Meanwhile a former Hecla employee, Jose Benitez told the local newspaper that he had been reinstated and everything is on track with people painting, cleaning ahead of the weekend's event.
Another newly-engaged worker, Rubuy Chirinos says the President's upcoming visit to El Callao is another vote of confidence in local business and that union leaders have secured better conditions in the new collective agreement with management although the negotiators are continue with new proposals to assist workers whose benefits and salaries had seriously deteriorated under the Hecla regime, as well as the harassment to which they were subjected.
Venezuela's new National Mining Company has the workers that there will be additional meetings at which their arguments will be heard. Previous meetings had been suspended pending the return of the company's president, Oscar Rojas from Caracas with a financial director scheduled to table a motion which he (Rojas) says will appeal to the mass of workers.
Meanwhile it is known that the Health & Safety Institute (INPSASEL) had conducted a report making clear that the former Hecla mines need adequate and strong investment unless it is to continue being a very serious risk for those who work there.

Venezuela is facing the most difficult period of its history with honest reporters crippled by sectarianism on top of rampant corruption within the administration and beyond, aided and abetted by criminal forces in the US and Spanish governments which cannot accept the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people to decide over their own future.
