ReplyDeleteThe biggest, most serious error I can see from way up here in Gringolandia is Chávez appointing the likes of Diosdado Cabello and Rafael Ramírez as PSUV vice-presidents. If there was any way to put the brakes on a deepening of real socialism in Venezuela, appointing the likes of these two would definitely be it. The PSUV had better correct these anti-democratic errors soon. And falling in behind Hugo Chávez at every turn is most definitely not any way to deepen and democratically strengthen a socialist revolution.
This bolivarian bureaucracy must bow to the will of the democratic people -- not the other way around. And they're still there -- scheming and manipulating. They must be brought to heel. Or removed.
