Historic meeting this Friday between Morales, Lula and Chávez

Juan Ramón Quintana, the Bolivian presidential minister, has described as historic this Friday’s meeting of the Presidents of Bolivia, Evo Morales; Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva; and Venezuela, Hugo Chávez.
In an interview with the state-run channel Canal 7 from the northern Bolivian town of Riberalta – the venue of the meeting – the official confirmed that the municipality was preparing itself for the event, PL reports. The population is aware of the challenge of receiving three presidents and almost every organization has been mobilized around this historic event, he announced. He stated that the statesmen will cover a very full agenda during their brief stay in the so-called capital of the Bolivian Amazon, situated in the department of Beni on the Brazilian border.
He confirmed that they have taken all the necessary measures to guarantee security throughout the day, during which the heads of state are due to sign several important agreements. Morales and Da Silva are to sign an agreement via which Brazil will provide a loan of $230 million for the construction of the Northern Corridor, a highway that will link this territory with the city of La Paz.
