Labor & Social Security Minister Roberto Hernandez says meeting of the International Labor Organization (ILO) was a success for Venezuela

Labor and Social Security Minister Roberto Hernandez said that the recent meeting of the International Labor Organization (ILO) was a success for Venezuela. "In the forum held in the Swiss city of Geneva, several figures congratulated us, and stated Venezuela has achieved important advances this year in the framework of labor measures and union organization," the official noted. "We are included as members of the intergovernmental group's Administration Council," stressed Hernández, interviewed on the Venezolana de Television program En Confianza. Venezuela was elected member of the ILO Administration Council at the 97th International Conference early this month for the 2008-2011 period. The appointment took place during the Electoral Board session for the Governmental Sector, presided over by Juan Arias, alternate ambassador of the Venezuelan Permanent Mission at the U.N.
