If Iran can deter the US Fifth Fleet, Venezuela can deter the US Fourth Fleet.

Let me add this small comment to those made by Kenneth Tillis, Eva Golinger, and others about the reactivation of the US Fourth Fleet:

Let's recall what was pointed out By Michael E. Salla, M.A., Ph.D in "The Neoconservative Agenda to Sacrifice the Fifth Fleet The New Pearl Harbor"
"The SS-N-22 or Sunburn has a speed of Mach 2.5 or 1500 miles an hour,
uses stealth technology and has a range up to 130 miles. It contains a
conventional warhead of 750 lbs that can destroy most ships. Of even greater
concern is Russia's SSN-X-26 or Yakhonts cruise missile which has a range of 185 miles which makes all US Navy ships in the Persian Gulf vulnerable to attack.

This article goes on to note that the in the Millennium Challenge wargames of 2002, the US Navy itself demonstrate that such missiles could sink the Fifth Fleet, now tasked to the Middle East (before the games were ordered to be rigged).

If the US persists in reactivating the Fourth Fleet, it might not be such a bad idea if the Venezuelan government, among others, adds Moskit and Yakhont anti-ship missiles to its military procurement, among other projects undertaken jointly with regional allies and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, among others.
Clearly, credible deterrants to US aggression need to be established; a
strategy of containment needs to be pursued; and, as in the case of the Soviet
Union, its internal contradictions need to be turned back on themselves, in
order for the systems of domination and exploitation to implode.

At this point, there is no other choice, if the new, Bolivarian focus of socialism in the 21st Century isn't to turn from a cradle to a grave.

hasta pronto, y a la victoria, siempre,

Venezuela is facing the most difficult period of its history with honest reporters crippled by sectarianism on top of rampant corruption within the administration and beyond, aided and abetted by criminal forces in the US and Spanish governments which cannot accept the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people to decide over their own future.

  1. It's now the time that the U.S. State must take its Armed Forces back from the Empire, this Global Corporate and financial elite is using a State Army to continously threaten and attack nations and endangering the peace and stability of the world for the only purpose of taking control and usage of other countries resources , raw material or for what is it really called by legitimacy, national patrimony or nation's sovereign possessions.

If the Constitutional foundation of this U.S. State is based on equality, fair relations and respect, then its "foreign policy" could be constantly questioned, watched and fairly judged by other foreign citizens.

Every nation must urgently exercise their own freedom of action in achieving technological and economic developement to halt capitalism or Global market interference and intervention, taking control and making use of their own resources and knowledge to create a world order of new and fresh economic policies on fair trading and not "free" trading, equal exchanging and not Global exchange, standard value of currencies for purchasing, not currencies disparity for unfairness global exchanging, universal work income, not global wages, in doing so, citizens, like in the U.S. or U.E. wouldn't have to worry about neither having foreign people crossing their borders or visiting to stay and work illegaly in their sovereign territory, nor having their domestic factories and jobs being shipped across the border or overseas along with illegal free trades.
