Unidad Popular Venezolana (UPV) activist Lina Ron has come out with all guns blazing to denounce "Operation Barbarazo" she says has been instigated by infiltrators in the national government against President Hugo Chavez Frias.
While part of the information revealed by UPV's Ron would appear to tally with information published exclusively by VHeadline on Monday citing confidential security service sources, Ron told a press conference in Caracas today that the subversive plan is scheduled to take place next December...
"I am denouncing a web of betrayal, disloyalty against my Commander in Chief, Hugo Chavez by those who want 'Chavismo without Chavez' ... there are people who are supposedly acting on behalf of the revolution who are exploiting, abusing, creating problems and preparing a subversive operation called "Barbarazo" ... they are using the image of Saint Barbara to execute their plans for a counter-revolution."
"These people intend to use Santa Barbara as an icon to mount a psycho-celebration operation for the elimination of Hugo Chavez ... they aim to infiltrate everything, take out the governors and mayors with the complicity of those who seek Chavismo without Chavez ... they say that Hugo Chavez has no legality or legitimacy and must be removed out of government, that the Chavez government must go because the Venezuelan people do not want him any more. "
"Chavez supporters ('Chavistas'), whether they be radical or not, will not accept this plot ... nor any of the Venezuelan people."
Highlighting the exemplary conduct in public office of Diosdado Cabello, Cilia Flores and Ali Rodriguez Araque, UPV's Lina Ron says that those who wish to remain in the national government "must be courageous in the face of evil, speak clearly and be precise in what they do on behalf of the people."
