VHeadline's Paris (France)-based commentarist Alfredo Bremont writes: History is repeating itself in an inverted world, where the Gaza strip can now can be qualified as the Poland of the 21st Century and Israeli raids into that territory closely resemble those of the powerful army of the Third Reich some 70 years ago!The world at large stands silent ... politicians and presidents all send condolences to the battered, innocent children that get bomb on a daily basis ... citizens cry with rage to "stop the carnage" ... as expected, US president-elect Barack Obama will say nothing until everyone has died and the important news returns to the weather and the New Year rebates.
The world has, in fact, no longer a pilot in its driving seat, and this can clearly be perceive in the defiance of Israel and the silence of leaders of the Western world.
This disaster, however, offers a great opportunity to President Chavez to now affirm his view of his 21st Century evolution and to sit on the vacant throne, to explain to the world that (North) America will remain the same ... Obama is no different from Bush ... the economic revival of the planet will be the suffering and enslavement of underprivileged citizens in the Third World.
Venezuela will remain a target of Washington DC and oil will remain the key issue of the US' attempt dominance and futile reasoning.
- NOW, nevertheless, is the moment to forge even stricter ties with Russia and to eventually consolidate the creation of an OPEC Bank ... Gaza is just an extension of the Oil Wars that the United States of America has being waging against the world! Their aim is to control Iran and, with it, the remaining "rebel nations" of South America ... (from their perspective!) Moscow will have to understand that the closer it gets to the oil producers, the safer that Chavez' stature and reputation will remain.
An OPEC Bank can also serve as a deterrent to arms proliferation as a vehicle for the socialist revolution of the 21st Century, and eventually it can give President Chavez the opportunity to eradicate the insidious corruption that's growing within his own government, and that of other democratic governments such as Bolivia, Ecuador and Nicaragua.
An OPEC currency can surface from this proposal and will even benefit the EURO and the US$ since it will no longer be Wall Street or the so-called financial elite that calls the tune, but the new currency. OPEC will finally have the power to dictate the proper price of oil and to avoid speculators manipulating markets and financiers.
- The Middle East mayhem can be repaired by President Chavez' these asymmetrical actions and could ultimately lead to a reconciliation between Washington and Moscow from which a celebratory consensus can be reached to, at last, rid the world of weapons of mass destruction.
In short, President Chavez has the opportunity, today, to save the planet from unavoidable doom, and to secure the continuity of his 21st Century Revolution without delay...
