Alberto Müller Rojas, deputy chair of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) thinks that the demonstrations staged by the opposition "mark destabilizing lines" implemented after a meeting held by some of their members in Puerto Rico.
"These events show that an attitude of belligerence is kept by part of an opposition directly controlled or associated to factors outside the country," he said.
Also, Müller Rojas said that the PSUV strongly rebuts these actions. In this regard, they back the decision made by President Hugo Chávez to enforce law and order in Venezuela and immediately break up any demonstration, state-run news agency ABN reported.
"Such destabilizing actions should be controlled under the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which ensures all Venezuelans that protests should be peaceful, wherever they come from."
