Venezuelan government is backwash in Unesco guidelines

According to official numbers, 5,187,128 Venezuelans under 17 years of age are outside the school system.
The Follow-Up Report on Education for All of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) is not loaded with statistics only. It includes recommendations and guidelines for the governments to pursue education where quality takes precedence over quantity.

In this way, the report strongly recommends improving governance in order to diminish inequalities and fully train children and adolescents. In order to attain these goals, the Unesco puts emphasis on making far-reaching public policies, with the active involvement of the organized society. Additionally, there is the need to decentralize decision making and resource apportionment.

Based on this, it seems that things are not doing well in Venezuela. At least, this is what appears from a study conducted by José Luis Salomón, of opposition Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT) party, together with a team of researchers.

The survey reveals that, according to official numbers, 5,187,128 Venezuelans under 17 years of age are outside the school system. Also, based on the UNT report, there are 111,026 acting teachers and more than 36,228 teachers provisionally hired by the Ministry of Education."
