The writer insists that the Venezuelan revolutionary leader and his clique are foolishly sticking to bourgeois parliamentarism and bourgeois legality in their "peaceful [christian] revolution."
Having first investigated where the verb GROK -- to share the same reality or line of thinking with another physical or conceptual entity -- originates ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grok) one cannot help but to consider a degree of empathy on the part of the writer with the calamity that has befallen Venezuela as President Hugo Chavez Frias' original 'reality or line of thinking' about Venezuela's future glides slowly under the surface like the sinking of yet another unsinkable Titanic.
Against clearly visioned mental images of stoic mariners going down with the ship, Grok continues that the foolish descent by certain cliques within the Venezuelan administration into the icy waters entrails of the White Star line's flagship ... which he (Grok) effuses as physical abandonment to 'neo-bourgeos-ism' currently spreading like wildfire through most of the rest of the (South American) continent is "of great happiness to North American and European pacifists, liberals and reformist of the 'World Social Forum' crowd."
GROK: "Let's not even get into how the elite, red-shirted 'revolutionaries' jealously crowding around Chavez can't even competently run the economy along 'socialist' lines ... corruption siphons off the peoples' resources, everywhere ... like a mortal hemorrhage on the body politick."
S/he continues: That gangsters -- clearly aided in some manner by the yanquis and their Venezuelan and Colombian agents in stirring up chaos -- have been allowed to instigate a reign of terror in all corners of the country, is proof enough that a truly socialist and revolutionary 'dictatorship of the proletariat' should have long ago been declared and installed in the country by the organized and armed masses in their consejos (councils) and comunas (communities). With or without Hugo Chavez!
Instead, the Revolution has stalled -- and begun to reverse now -- as vested interests in the 'Bolivarian' hierarchy/elite have selfishly and foolishly gathered bourgeois-state power to themselves and their cronies, frustrating at every turn the wishes and interests of the revolutionary mass of the people to move to actual socialist development and praxis.
Here is NOT the place to explain what is actually 'democratic' about a 'dictatorship of the proletariat' ... suffice to say: most-all liberals, pacifists and liberal-Leftists do NOT have the least clue what Marxism, and social revolution, are all about!
- And, while we're at it, to hell with the social-democrat Naomi Klein http://www.naomiklein.org/ and the vested interests SHE fronts for!
If the revolutionary socialists will not organize the atomized masses and workers ... the nationalists and nativistic fascists most certainly will. So if you want to get an idea what awaits North America and Europe, as wannabe leaders continue to hum and haw about organizing revolution against the declining capitalist World order, just look at what has been unfolding in places like Azania (South Africa).
- No socialism can be built on nationalism (thus, for instance, the fraud of social-democracy!)
Do you wonder how the 'Wall Street Welfare plan' (aka the bail-out plan) ever passed the US Congress? In most Congressional offices opposition by voters ran 10 to 20 to 1 AGAINST it ... and for good reason: The bail-out is a total and complete fraud.
It does nothing to solve the root problem which is a severe crisis of confidence in the banking industry. Instead it gives George Bush dictatorial powers, through his Secretary Treasury, over three quarters of a TRILLION dollars in US tax-payer money (part of the bill gave Bush $100 billion in his own personal discretionary fund.)
The world banking crisis is real, but there was a much simple, cheaper solution...
Go behind the scenes and hear about the fraud, bribery and even threats of violence that were used get the corrupt piece of legislation passed ... legislation which never had a public hearing and likely no one who voted "yes" for it ever. http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/441.html
...and then the United States as the audacity to make pronouncements over how
they see the Chavez government mismanaged?
Well, yes, it is ... and criminally so ... but where was it we used to read something about the mite on one's own eye?

Venezuela is facing the most difficult period of its history with honest reporters crippled by sectarianism on top of rampant corruption within the administration and beyond, aided and abetted by criminal forces in the US and Spanish governments which cannot accept the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people to decide over their own future.
