Venezuela Names OPEC Governor As New Vice Minister For Oil

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Wednesday named Ivan Orellana, the country's governor for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, as the new vice minister for oil. Orellana will be second in command at the Oil Ministry behind Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez, who also serves as president of state-owned oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA, or PdVSA, according to the latest issue of the official gazette.
