Venezuela and Spain to patch up row
Venezuela and Spain have vowed to kiss and make up months after a diplomatic spat in which the Spanish king told President Hugo Chavez to 'shut up.' Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos says the two countries have put their differences behind them. Moratinos said on Tuesday, following a meeting with Chavez, that 'the page has turned' and the nations are ready to begin a new stage of relations. Diplomatic relations between the two countries soured in November, when Spanish King Juan Carlos told Chavez to 'shut up' during a summit meeting in Chile. Chavez had angered the king by calling Spain's former premier, Jose Maria Aznar, a fascist.
