New L200 Sportero offroader from Mitsubishi has reaped important recognitions around the world

Caracas Daily Journal (Jonathan Leo): Venezuelan consumers may think they have seen "tough enough" vehicles with great style running around the streets. Maybe the following review may change their minds. MMC Automotriz, S.A., a local corporation that represents Asian automakers Mitsubishi Motors and Hyundai, rolled off its assembly line the new Mitsubishi L200 Sportero and introduced it to the general public at the beaches of Venezuela's duty-free zone Península de Paraguaná, located in the north of Falcón state, northern Venezuela. At first, what caught the attendant's eye was its astounding design brimming with refined, but muscular, lines all over the vehicle's body. However, they got more impressed as they realized they could do way more for its multiple comfort and cargo capabilities, what in the end leads to the question: is it a luxury SUV or a burly pick-up truck? That's to be left in their judgment. The Mitsubishi L200 Sportero has been presented by MMC Automotriz as a vehicle aimed at those people looking for a SUV with wide cargo capacity but at the same time, a vehicle that doesn't give up its own astonishing appearance as well as the comfort and safety provided to transport their families in or out of town. This five-seater is being commercialized in its GLS 3.5-liter version that comes with a V6, 24-valve SOHC engine and Electronically Controlled Multi-point Fuel Injection (ECI-MULTI) that delivers a maximum power of 175 HP at 4,750 rpm, all this coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission. A comfy ride is an asset here thanks to an independent front suspension mounted on spiral springs and stabilizing bar, together with a multi-point rear suspension of rigid axle and elliptical springs. Happy and safe trails are always guaranteed inside the spacey cockpit as it offers really comfortable reclinable/height-adjustable front seats with a central console and bench-style back seats with armrests and cupholders, all of them with 3 -and 2-point safety belts. Chilling is also an option for its fully-automatic A/C system and AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with four speakers. Full specs can be found on www.mitsubishi-motors.com.ve and/or any Mitsubishi dealer nationwide.
