The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals hears oral arguments Wednesday in the immigration fraud case of a Cuban militant wanted in Cuba and Venezuela on charges he plotted a jetliner bombing. A U.S. District judge dismissed the government's case against Luis Posada Carriles in 2007. That ruling said the government manipulated an interview with him while he was applying to become a U.S. citizen and used it as a pretext to develop a criminal case against him. The government appealed to the 5th Circuit.
