President Chavez accused the U.S. of selling cocaine and weapons to his country's poor in a bid to destabilize the nation

President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela accused the U.S. of selling cocaine and weapons to his country's poor in a bid to destabilize the nation. Chavez, a longtime U.S. adversary who has used Venezuela's oil wealth to promote his vision of ``21st century socialism'' in Latin America, said today the U.S. was acting in concert with factions of the Colombian government. ``There is a plan that is very dangerous for us that is being designed in Colombia by the U.S. with support of some factions in Colombia, to pack this place with paramilitaries,'' he told viewers on ``Alo, Presidente,'' his weekly television program broadcast from Caracas. ``I am denouncing something that needs attention. ``But they won't be armed with rifles, nor marching in formation. No, they will be working in the ghettos, selling cocaine, for less than market price, very cheap, a fifth column, to advance the ghetto thugs and arm them with weapons of war. It's a plan of the North American empire.''

  1. In this Low-Intensity form of class-struggle waged by U.S. Imperialism against Venezuela and the ALBA countries, each consejo comunale has to be made physically responsible for it's own "turf": street by street, alley by alley, ravine by vacant lot by park, etc. -- and in coordinated conjunction with the army and the militia -- but not AFAIC the police, who really can't be trusted (I suppose there could be exceptions).

Every consejo in the barrios must have its own armed militia. And where consejos are still weak, or have been corrupted, the other consejos around it must step in to help. And all this must be organized according to a mobilization plan to fight infiltration and provocation by the colombian and venezuelan oligarchs and their armed goons and deathsquads. This is Total War -- and it has to be understood as such by everyone. Such an understanding will save much grief up front -- and down the line.

Not only is this approach an integral part of the best way to fight imperialist subversion -- it's also how you build socialism and empower and season the masses, politically and militarily -- besides being part of the way to deal with all that street crime and the various other typical bourgeois pathologies we've been been saddled with -- and then are told it's simply "human nature", and that we should just lump it and ask for more state/police intervention...
