Search teams work in cold conditions today to scour the rugged Venezuelan Andes for missing passenger plane
Search teams worked in cold conditions today to scour the rugged Venezuelan Andes for a missing passenger plane believe to have crashed with 46 passengers on board. The twin-engine plane took off in good weather from the high-altitude city of Merida just before dusk yesterday to the capital of Caracas, roughly 300 miles away. The journey should have taken an hour and 20 minutes but half an hour after take-off it lost contact with airport controllers and disappeared from radar.
