Jose Antonio Abreu of Venezuela wins $50,000 Glenn Gould Prize

Venezuelan musician Jose Antonio Abreu has won the $50,000 Glenn Gould Prize. Abreu, 68, is the founder of the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra and Venezuela's National Symphony Youth Orchestra. He is also an economist, educator and politician. The award is handed out every three years to a leading figure in music, the arts and communications.
