Crude price rises as Exxon and Venezuela argue
Now the price is creeping back up, thanks partly to Exxon, which won court orders freezing 12-billion dollars of Venezuelan assets, to ensure compensation for an oil project which the President Hugo Chavez nationalised last year. The company has said it is still prepared to talk to Caracas. Venezuela says it might sue Exxon for unpaid oil taxes.
