But high-level information made available to VHeadline in Caracas this morning appears to show that while Crystallex has already filed "a series of documents" to the Ministry, the fuller re-submission of the final permit application is still in abeyance after thirteen days despite the Ministry's insistence that it should be delivered without further delay.
Off-the record information is that Crystallex lawyers and technicians are still working on a draft of the re-submission having been given a series of guidelines by the Environment Ministry, but it is understood that the conditions and sought-after modifications are mostly cosmetic and would not otherwise warrant an almost two-week delay.
Meanwhile, it is also understood that the new Mining Act has passed all levels of approval and is simply waiting for its opportune publication in the Gaceta Oficial (Official Gazette) to attain full legality under Venezuelan legislation. It has nevertheless been impossible to learn when publication is scheduled but it is speculated that it will be before the end of this week ahead of Saturday's Venezuelan Independence Day celebrations.
