These are times that necessitate courage and determination ... and Venezuela has a part to play!

VHeadline's Paris (France) based commentarist Alfredo Bremont writes: Since capitalism just got a high-power shock of viceral volts recently, Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez should understand that this economic meltdown is first of all a warning signal to the hefty spenders and polluters ... but it is also a window of opportunity to save this decaying planet which is in the process of losing both the artic and antartic ice caps.
  • The capitalist system always does what it can to outdo nature ... however we all know that mother nature always take her revenge in the most ferocious manner to be experienced.
Wars inequality, destruction, corruption and deception is what the capitalist system has brought upon us, not to mention the melting ice caps that Wall Street has completely forgotten...

President Chavez now has the opportunity to dialogue directly with Bernabake and Jean Claude Trichet ... talking to George W. Bush or any other "world leader" is obviously a waste of time. Configuring an ecologically-economic system with oil prices at around $150 a barrel will be the best recipe to curb climate warming and the green house effect ... it is also a wise way to transfer wealth from the very rich to the very poor ... and it is just the medicine to heal most of our insanity.

The crashing US dollar is not good for the rising Euro ... it will surely perform miracles for China and India but it will do a lot damage too since India is bursting with over-population and over-pollution just as much as China ... inequalities are on the rise! The disparity between European populations and the rest of the world are engendering fear, ugly nationalism and the prospect of World War III.

The Tibetan explosion is an example of such disparities ... in the end what we wil have is a water world were 400 mph hurricanes will flatten New York City and THAT will definitely be the end of Wall Street and the speculative banking system.
  • We can, however, allay or even prevent that fate by raising the price of oil, revamping the reptilian brains of most of the world's rulers and have them to understand that the unthinkable is just around the corner.
There's no point in fightng or arguing on an empty stomach nor is there any fun existing on a planet modeled on an Orwellian nightmare ... a global civil war is in the making and Sarkozy's proposals for a humanitarian caravan to save Ingrid betancourt is a smoking gun that will trigger even more violence.

NOW is the proper time for the Boliviarian Revolution to enter the fray and introduce some sanity if only to help Ingrid Betancourt's release and protect her from Alvaro Uribe, who is in fact even more dangerous than GW Bush himself.

Uribe's plans are no diferent than Washingtons doctrine which itself is no less than world domination. We all know that after Iraq, it is Iran, then China and later Russia ... just analyze the latest worldwide news and the games they play.

President Chaves must understand that he cannot under any circumstances trust any of the current western Heads of State and it ia an additional reason why Jean-Claude Trichet and Bernabake are the perfect partners not only to calm deranged markets but to redirect this foolish capitalist system into one that is more humane and just.

These are times that necessitate courage and determination ... and Venezuela has a part to play!

Quality above quantity is one of the lessons Venezuela must give.

South American nations must be brought out of their colonialist and economic brainwashing.

The remaining European colonies should grant independence to old colonies ... since if action is not soon taken on vital issues we will shortly arrive at 2011 and with regret discover that the window of opportunity that nature is giving us in 2008 has already passed into oblivion.

  1. The logic of capitalism won't be broken by mere moral suasion and appeals to the decency of the capitalists and their adherents. The entire exploitative system itself must simply be broken up and completely dismantled -- then replaced with a planned, socialist and cooperative system. And since the capitalists have armies of goons to forestall exactly such a possibility, there remains no other option but world-wide revolution, if we wish to accomplish this necessary, urgent change-over.
